Using videoclips in the classroom is an excellent activity where the students will see the vocabulary and the structures of the language contextualized.
- Questions about the meaning of the song.
- Fill-in the blanks exercise.
- Lyrics of the song.

Practice real english with real news.
It can be adapted to fit any particular need, or language structure.
It is real, so you will reduce the distance between the real world and the class.
Your students will see that the language they learn is alive!

I have been working on a series of real news, trying to modify them to turn them into ESL activities.
As you can see in the picture, your students will work with real English. They will be motivated to carry out the activity because the news will be related to their insterests (sports, music…). It is a way of making real use of the language they will read the text not to extract a structure but to understand what they are being told.
This news format will be like this:
- Vocabulary (key words to understand it)
- Questions about the text.
- Activities to link the real life with the structures of the language
This one is related to the Real Madrid vs Atletico de Madrid game
I will be posting more news for you to use shortly, so keep visiting!!
Hope you find them as useful as I do
