REAL ENGLISH WITH REAL NEWS-LMFAO

LMFAO ON THE SUPERBOWLL

Here is the new delivery of the series of news that I’m preparing for my students.

On this occasion it is related to the musical group: LMFAO.

My students love music and they also like this group. So I try to link their real world with the class.

The structure is as usual:

  • News
  • Vocabulary (key words to understand it)
  • Questions about the text.
  • Activities to link the real life with the structures of the language (This can be varied to match your needs)

FREE ESL ACTIVITY OF THE DAY

WORD TO WORD

Tell the students to stand in a circle.
One student says a word, for example:  CHAIR.

The next student says a word related to the word that has been said, for example: BROWN.

The next student says a word related to the last one, and so on: CHAIR, BROWN, DOG, RUN, PARK, FOOTBAL…

If a student says a word that is clearly not related to the previous one, he/she is out. Then the next student in line tries to continue the chain.

LEVEL:  ELEMENTARY/INTERMEDIATE        LANGUAGE:  ANY
